When healing the blind man in John 9, the Pharisees refused to receive what Jesus was saying. Their first complaint was the fact that Jesus healed on the Sabbath. Their second complaint discredited who Jesus was. The third complaint was that God does not hear sinners. The Pharisees were basing these complaints on traditional teachings and the Law of Moses. However, Jesus came with a revelation to expand them beyond the Law of Moses and traditional teachings. Don't let traditional teachings keep you from receiving a revelation (the light).
