Body.Soul.Spirit Seminar 2009The seminar was spectacular. God moved mightily in the place! Women were set free and empowered, knowing that
they could do "All Things Through Christ". Dunns Memorial Baptist Church, Joy Fellowship Alliance Group of
Houston & Restoration Christian Ministries International of Austin, thanks for coming out. All of our speakers, teachers
and vendors were a blessing to the ladies. We thank the Carver staff for their support and for allowing us to host the
seminar there at the Carver Museum & Cultural Center. Last but not least, to all the volunteers, your support is
very much appreciated.

Just How Important Are God's People To Minister Juan Carter, Sr.?When Minister Carter and his unit arrived at COP Cashe South (Iraq), it lacked a proper facility for soldiers
to worship. It became a priority for Minister Carter to locate a place of worship for God's people. Find out how he moved
forward in fulfilling a vision that was prayed for, by checking out July's "Word News" quarterly newsletter.

Is Tradition Keeping You From Receiving a Revelation? Is tradition keeping you from receiving a revelation?
When healing the blind
man in John 9, the Pharisees refused to receive what Jesus was saying. Their first complaint was the fact
that Jesus healed on the Sabbath. Their second complaint discredited who Jesus was. The third complaint was
that God does not hear sinners.
The Pharisees were basing these complaints on traditional teachings and the
Law of Moses. However, Jesus came with a revelation to expand them beyond the Law of Moses and traditional teachings.
Don't let traditional teachings keep you from receiving a revelation (the light).

NATIONAL VOLUNTEER WEEKThe week of April 19th - 25th is National Volunteer Week. Let us not forget to thank those who
"willingly" serve. In Romans 13:7 the Bible mentions rendering honor to whom honor is due. We know that
many in the Bible followed this principal:
Deborah & Barak praised God and ackowledged the people who "willingly"
offered themselves in time of war (Judges 5:2).
The king issued a decree for Ezra and all Ezra's volunteers, to
take all the silver and gold that was in the province of Babylon to the temple. As a result, Ezra was encouraged. So
much so, he gathered all his volunteers (willing men) and he honored them by saying to them "You are holy to the
Lord" (Ezra 8:28).
Exodus 35 talks about the people who had willing hearts and willing spirits to
give and serve. In fact, they gave and served so much that they had to be told to stop working and stop giving! (Exodus
36:6). Nevertheless, due to their willingness to give and serve God honored them! He honored them with the ultimate,
His presence (Exodus 40:34-38).
I can go on and on, but don't worry, I won't :-)
The main principal
to take away from this is again, give honor to whom honor is due. Let us not forget to show our appreciation for volunteers.
God we thank you for your volunteers at God's Word. For they are doing a mighty work! We also thank you for your
volunteers across the world.
May You continue to bless each and every woman, man, and child who has a willing
heart and a willing spirit to give and serve. In Jesus name, Amen.

True PeaceJohn 14:27 - "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives
do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither
let it be afraid." Jesus distinguishes His peace from what the world
calls peace. The world can't give us the type of peace Jesus is referring to. His peace is what we can consider to
be "true peace". "True Peace" is a state of being, a mindset absent of conflict, trouble,
and fear. This is why Jesus tells us let not our hearts be troubled or afraid. The key word is "let".
Jesus says "let not". . . this tells us that we have to allow or give trouble and fear
permission to enter our state of being or mindset. Once we do, there is no peace. We have the power and
authority to control what we welcome into our state of being or mindset.
"True peace"
is not in the world. True peace comes from the Father only. Allow Him to give you "true peace".
Philippians 4:7 . . . and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and
minds through Christ Jesus.

Forsake FoolishnessWhat does wisdom and foolishness have in common?
1. Both Call Out to the Simple Offering Direction 2. Both Make an Appeal to the Appetite of those Lacking in Understanding We have to be careful
when making decisions because both wisdom and foolishness calls out to the one who is lacking in understanding and needing
direction.
Proverbs 9 tells us that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and the knowledge of the
Holy One is understanding.
Forsake foolishness and live!

Obtaining a Good ReportHebrews 11 - "The World Was Framed by the Word of God". The enemy is in the
world. So, when we speak the Word of God, we put a frame around the trials we go through. If you want to box
the enemy in and what he is doing, speak the Word of God and obtain a good report like the elders.

The DuplicatorThe enemy always attempts to duplicate what God is doing in one's life by bringing the counterfeit before
the original. This is evident in Jeremiah Chapter 28. The false prophet Hananiah came to the king and the people and
said that the Lord was going to break the yoke of the king of Babylon. Then the true prophet Jeremiah came back with the original
Word because he too was deceived by the counterfeit. Jeremiah wasn't exempt from deception and neither or we. We have
to be sober, be vigilant; because our adversary the devil walks about like a roaring
lion, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8

Food & Supplemental Assistance ProgramThe Food & Supplemental Assistance Program flowed quite well today. We are seeing a substantial growth of people,
in need of our services. Due to the economic condition with people losing their homes and jobs, God's Word is focusing on
more corporate and individual partnerships to help us bring relief to those in need.
